Shock-a-Lots

I seem to have been making a run of amazing chocolate candies lately, having recently been blown away by Chargers candies, another candy coated chocolate covered espresso bean. But, there is a world of difference between them. While chargers might have been the Aston Martin of caffeinated candies, Shock-A-Lots are like a modified customized tricked out Nissan. Chargers have style and class, and are a super powerful treat.
However, Shock-A-Lot candies are super delicious, down-to-business, and the energy can run laps around chargers. These foil wrapped wonders can be a real brain-blasting powerhouse of energy. The taste is so damn good that there is no way you can eat just one – and before you know it, the whole pack is gone and someone is pulling you off the ceiling.

I have never Jonesed for anything caffeinated before. But after eating my first of two packs I had, I immediately started craving the second pack. These taste and look just like peanut M&Ms – with a lovely yellow candy shell that belies how powerful these are. Once you pop one in your mouth, the game is over. I had two bags of them, and both were consumed very fast in one sitting. I was next to a friend, so I had to share, but ended up feeling regretful I did, as there were a few candies I could not hoard. Heck – these are even tastier than Peanut M&Ms, and just as horrifyingly addictive. Don’t just buy one pack of these if you see them – you will be sorry you wont have more later.

First, these are from Shock Coffee – so you know already you are playing with fire. Keep in mind tat these people are the ones who make extra strong delicious brewed coffee, and insane coffee energy drinks.
5-6 beans have around 120mg of caffeine. You can buy these in 1 or 2 ounce bags, whic contain more than enough beans to get your eyeballs peeling. There are no other hidden supplements or nutrients in this, just fantastic dark chocolates, candy coating and coffee bean – but I would not want anything else.
The problem is that 5 or 6 might be enough energy, but it is incredibly hard to stop eating these, even though you KNOW these are super powerful. Your gums start ingesting the caffeine from these well before the coffee hits your stomach, so the effect from it is much quicker than in swallowed forms. Within 10 minutes I was feeling Really Really wired, and it kept me going for a very solid 3 hours. If you played this right, you could probably stretch out a bag to go for 6 or more hours with a decent kick.

This is pretty no-nonsense packaging – like you would expect any candy bag to be. While the artwork is nice, layout is pleasing and is a decent looking product, this is not as much a gift pack like chargers and something functional you will want to eat yourself. This even does its best to give an estimate of caffeine content – although it is just an estimate. I am glad this comes in only 1 or 2 ounce bags, as I would have been tempted to eat more if the bag was any bigger.
