The absolutely best thing about these little Xtra energy shots is they can be found at the Dollar Tree for one buck. What you get for the buck is a cheap wannabe energy shot- the same as the five dozen out there selling the same thing. I would not pay three bucks for this – or even two. But for a buck, these are not so bad. Stacker is known for coming out with tons of shots, pills and anything else you could think of to provide boosting power. However, this is my first dance with them and I even for a cheap date, I was pretty unimpressed.

Buzz / Nutrition:5
again with the overwhelming amount of Vitamin B stuff. over 8000 times the b12 you need and 2000 tomes the b6 – which has absolutely no help on your being. This has the same energy mix as the rest of the bland energy shots go. A regular enzyme blend, the regular energy blend – absolutely nothing new. Other than the overdose on B vitamins, there is really nothing special in here – no other vitamins or nutrients. It does provide energy and a nice boost, although it is not like downing a truly powerful energy shot. I would not go downing this late at night if you are trying to get to sleep, but the buzz is a couple hours at most.

Taste:5
Strong – and while not bad, it was not very pleasant. I have certainly had much better tasting energy shots, for sure. The flavor was somewhat berry citrus, but not totally. The flavor is certainly not natural, as the artificial sweeteners really shows through, as there is both aspartame and sucralose in here to hide all the other stuff (if you can’t make it taste good, cover it up with enough sugar to hide the bitterness). I have had worse – much much worse, although I have certainly had better too. If you are a fan of 5 hour energy, you will probably find this a nice cheaper alternative.

Packaging:5
it is a knockoff of 5 hour energy’s package completely, with a different plastic label. The overall design is not bad, but is not a winner either. I have certainly seem more original and unique packages, and the fact that they list the caffeine dosage as “about as much as a cup of coffee”, so this might have somewhere between 50-150mg in it. Pretty big difference.
