Hansens has put out another barely promoted energy drink- in their never ending quest to monopolize the shelves at the grocery store. This worthless drink is not worth the money, and certainly not worth a whole lot of space for review. This is a cheap quick one-off for the company behind Lost, Monster, Hansens Pro Energy and about a thousand other energy drinks. It will suffice to say that this is a half assed attempt to take on Red Bull by association, but does no t provide energy, flavor or originality – not even taking the step to make this drink red. The Diet is the key word here – and for not even being a budget drink this one is destined to sit on the dusty shelves of the grocery store until it finally stops being manufactured.

I expected that because this drink is directly going after Red Bull, for this to taste like the diet version. However this tasted like a berry version of it, and while not poor, not particularly flavorful either. The drink is lightly carbonated, and is supposed to be a berry flavor, but instead is sour and artificial tasting. This is not a flavor you can not find in a thousand energy drinks.

What is the point of releasing an energy drink with only 53mg of caffeine? I can understand if you are a caffeinated tea or another drink where the energy is not top priority – but this is an energy drink in a 8oz can, directly trying to compete with Red Bull. Without even providing a usual amount of caffeine there really is no point.l There is the other energy drink mix ingredients in here, the B vitamins annd l-carnitine, grape skin extract, Vitamin C, glucuronolactone, and inositol, but without the caffeine it will be a poor energy drink and a worthless clone. There is a way you can be in your best shape and if you are women this will help you more and these are the best weight loss pills for women, pills for women vary depending on the person.

Badly printed labels that were all smudged in processing, not listing a website, and not bothering to list the weak caffeine content , not to mention poor naming and horrible font choices put this squarely in the scrap pile – not even a drink can worth collecting. Really, Hansen could have given this another couple hours of design work.

I certainly understand what you are saying in regards to the flavor. I had this drink only once about six years ago, and it was a raunchy one.
But to be honest, because I am usually fond of bitter, strong, even harsh tasting things, and I was drinking Diet Red during a really good day of my teenage-hood, this beverage is one of the things that made up very fond memories on a very good day. The taste and smell makes me associate with same endorphins of that day and essentially, helps me re-live the ‘feel good’. I would definately buy a case to re-access those old feelings.
All that might seem a little weird, but I doubt that I’m the only one who has unintentionally developed good ‘taste memories’. So, with that said, I can’t wait to have this drink again.
