This is the reason that I try out so many energy drinks. Sure, some might stick to their favorite 2 or 3 flavors, but Kronk Lo Carb Dragon Berry is hands down one of the best tasting energy drinks I have ever had. Mix that into the fact that this drink is healthy, full of omega fatty acids, is lo-carb and contains a decent amount of protein, and you have one of the best all-round energy drinks of all time. I am serious – if you find this one around – you should really give it a go.
Kronik has released this flavor along with the rest of their Kronik Protein line – which contains an orange flavor as well as sugar laden varieties. They are all decent, but there is something about the compbiunation of the low calorie sweetener, the whey protein, the great buzz and decent nutrition, as well as the signature Kronik can design that has won me over. This drink definitely tops my list of 2009.

Imagine for morning you could have a big bowl of lightly honey dusted berries in cream. This is a super fruity mix of delicious berry flavors – combined together in a delicious flavor profile. This is made with natural Dragonberry, Mango and strawberry flavors – where every one of those comes through very strongly, while still complimenting each other. On top of this, the Whey protein gives this a thick milky flavor, reminiscent of a light cream or yogurt. While non carbonated, it did not have any of the thickness and heaviness of the calorie-laden versions, still staying light and clean without being sticky and sweet. I easily could drink one of these every day for the entire summer – and might.

Not only does this drink have such a great flavor, it also has a great nutritive value too. They pack in a good dose of omega 3 fatty acids in here ( the same thing you find in fish oil supplements) , some calcium which is lovely, as well as the usual energy drink vitamin stuff. But, keeping it good for workouts, make the drink more filling, and to help you actually get SOMETHING out of your energy drink, 10 grams of protein. They use Sucrose(sugar) and Splenda to make this sweet but not too sweet – with only 70 calories and 6 grams of sugar.
As Far as the buzz – it is a decent one. 160mg of caffeine are in the entire can, which is about standard for energy drinks. With all the other nutrients in here, I got about 3-4 hours of pretty solid and sustained energy from it. But even though it is not a powerhouse of caffeine, did I mention how this thing tastes?

gone is the 260 calories in the can. Omega 3, Omega 6, and Omega 9 , 64 mg of calcium and most importantly 10 grams of whey protein, They have 160mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, and all the usual Bs that you would expect form any energy drink.

This Low Carb version is almost exactly like the hi carb version, except it switches around the can colors. Other than that, this is still purely Kronik – covered in barb wire, concrete and enough edge to get the most Extreme muscleheads very happy. Like the other Kronik Protein drinks, this has a big “Caution: Power Too Sick for Science” as a slogan on the bottom, to further emphasize how they are trying to appeal to younger weight jocks that serious health nuts.
On a more intrinsic level, there are some real beautiful solutions and a couple problems. Firstly, hats off for finding a way to print on a gold background and have it be quite readable and pretty. The printing job is quality enough that the outlined fonts look sharp and easy to read, not bleeding or becoming ugly. Also, Kudos on listing the caffeine content as well as all the other nutrients. But the can is only single labeled, making for the chance of bad placement in stores. Also, it would be nice if they turned the cap around so the logo faces the same direction out while drinking.And, did I mentioned how this tastes really good?
