Rip It Power is the main beverage in the the extensive flavor selection Rip It has come out with. The flavor difference between this variety and the non HFCS version is barely noticeable. The brand has been out and doing OK in the cheapo market since 2004. Like the other flavors in the line, I found this at my local Walmart for a quarter, so I knew I was not getting a Sugar Free Guru. The flavor very soda-ish taste and texture, not at all surprising as this comes from the manufacturers of Shasta and Faygo.
Nutrition/Buzz:
60 mg of vitamin C, 2 mg of vitamin B6, 400 mg folic acid, 6 mg of vitamin B12, 1,000 mg of taurine and 100 mg of inositol. Strange that in the other drinks there is 100mg of caffeine, but they cut is to 90 for this one. Barely noticeable, just interesting as to why they would do such a thing. Of all the drinks, this is the least noxious, without BHT, BVO or Rocket Fuel.

I have read a number of reviews comparing this to bubblegum, strawberry, apple cider and many other flavors. It’s not that this drink it complex, quite the opposite. It is artificial berry of some sort, but fake passoinfruit is not one that would normally jump to peoples minds. My own take is grape jelly. Not at all a bad flavor, and actually pretty tasty for a 0 calorie artificial soda.

The blue with the light silver is without a doubt the best color scheme. A coworker got confused between this and Coors Light Bullets – thinking I might have switched to a more fun but slightly less workplace safe kind of beverage. Not that it is really good, but it is better than the crap designs on the other flavors.

Its a nice clean site – looking very clean and very well developed, from a UI perspective. Its a mix of HTML and flash, as opposed to going very heavy on the techno – which I completely expected from the cheapo can design. If only they hired the same design firm to make the cans that made the site, they could charge a whole lot more for their drink and pull themselves from the bargain basement shelves.
