So this new offering by the now defunkt Heileman Brewing Company is now put out by basement beer makers Stroh Brewing Company, same ones that put out just about every crappy 5 buck a six pack beer out there. So you know you can expect alot out of a company that is well known for its high standards (1$ PBRs?) to classy reputations (Colt 45?) to the finest ingredients (Olympia beer uses only the finest Artestian Water, right?) But hey, if sparks and tilt can be wikiners, why not flood the market with cheap half-done imitations – which is all this one is
So what is the difference between this and sparks? In terms of the actual product, not much. In terms of packaging, they are just plain BAD
Buzz/nutrition: 4
There is a slight buzz from this, but noting different of spectaular. From the amount of buzz I was feeling, I would say this has 70-80 mgs of caffeine in a serving, which is meaqns there is a little buzz, but not emough to keep you from buying the much cooler sparks or joosed at the refrigerated section. No website or any info , so I cant even tell you what is in this concoction.
Taste: 5
Well, even down to the food coloring, this is a sparks. You could even get the dreaded SparksMouth ( if you drink enough of this stuff, the yellow food die in it can stain your teeth yellow) from cans of this too. Its not bad, but not anything new either. It has the usual EDM, from the taurine to the B vitamins. The standard 7% alcohol is fun, but you would have to work hard to try to stomach drinking the 3 or 4 of these needed to get a good drunk on.
Packaging:0
This is the crappiest can I have seen – you cant even make out the drink’s name, with them trying to use a styscaper to make the I in the name. But the way it is shaped, I guess it could be an A too, making this product Raze? There is not only no listing of what is in here, no listing of a website ( because they dont have any) but also a brewer that is now non-existant.
Web Site: When I called them on the phone, the woman answering the phone did not even know if they made that or not. either carry the brand and do it right, or drop it altogether. This is definietly not a brand worth saving…
