Awake energy juice

I don’t drink nearly enough juice in the morning. Except for those special occasions when I have a bloody mary or mamosa with breakfast I get a little juice, but starting off the day with a big sugary sweet fruit juice is not really what most grownups do. I know, some health nuts might make sure to pour a big glass with their daily granola, I have yet to see a big ol’ go-cup filled with OJ.

People need their caffeine, man! Maybe if Tropicana had a caffeinated gallon jug of fruit juice people might get into it more – but until then Juice is a an extravagance.

Awake energy juice could change that – giving lots of caffeine and vitamins along with their tasty orange juice blend. This stuff is a surefire winner over those morning canned coffee drinks, or (gasp) downing an energy drink with breakfast. Awake Energy juice totally impressed me with their flavor and healthy ingredients – albeit being kinda stupid with their marketing.

Nutrition/Buzz: 7
What I mean by stupid is this: They put Essentra in here. Never heard of Essentra? no one has. They keep pushing Essentra on their package, which is their own trademarked supplement. You can’t find Essentra in anything else, as it is just their codename for ashwaganda – which could be found in dozens of energy drinks. Not that Ashwaganda is bad, but it is like calling Taurine extract “Taurinol” and then lauding its health benefits. Just get over yourselves.
But now as for the rest of the ingredients, the list is very impressive. This is loaded with tons of Vitamin A, C and B and the only sugars come from the blend of 6 juices – so it is without tons of chemicals.
As for the buzz, they have caffeine and green tea extract in here, and the buzz is decent for an 80mg drink. While not giving me tons of energy, I was about as alert as after a cup of coffee: not buzzing, but keeps away the caffeine headache. A real Good Morning Energy would be if this had 200mg or more of caffeine – this was about as powerful as a diet soda.

The flavor of the juice is really nice. Adam and Eve Juices are really good – so these people really know how to make a tasty juice. It starts off like orange, but then blends into lots of other citrus juices – to where you can barely taste the apple juice filler base they are using. I would definitely drink this over almost all the Energy Drink Juices out there (Rockstar Juiced, Monster Khaos, etc…) And for those using this to recover from the night before, Ill bet this would make an excellent screwdriver

THis certainly does not scream off the shelves at you – in fact, the design is about as non-exciting as it gets. Really, this looks like it could have been designed on Microsoft word- – with dull fonts in a dark orange background. This could be brights and cheery and sunny – and looks instead of something to come out a relaxing 70s art house. Look at what your competitors are doing for ideas – because the overall design of the can is pretty lame.
All the technicals are good too – except you should not have to go online to see the caffeine listing. I like the double facing, and the slim 12ounce package. It even has an orthodox union kosher symbol on it – just so we know there wasn’t any bacon that slipped into your morning treat.

Like the package – the design is over-the-top lame, right out of the 70s. Bad color choices and silly stock images show prominently, along with flash movies there for no reason. The rest of the page is a Dreamweaver template – kinda like slapping a site together in a day using stock images and a stock layout. For a big company to come out with such garbage is a disgrace. Lefts not get into the code – which is full of useless comments and garbage code.
It is , however, full of infomation and knowledge about the drink. So if you can handle the bad, you could find out quite alot about the company, the drink , and what the heck their “superstar ingredient” actually is.
