Adrenalyn stack

Upon trying the newest drink in my stash, Adrenalyn Stack, I assumed it would either build up my adrenalin, or somehow help me stack stuff. Now as much fun as it can be to stack stuff, I really did not think I would need tons of energy from it, unless I was stacking Camaros or something cool like that. I have heard that crazy amounts of adrenalin have made people able to lift up burning buildings to rescue kittys underneath and possess superhuman power.
Now this morning I did not need superhuman power, nor was I stacking. I was, or am, trying to train for my first marathon race ( I should be all pumped and ready to compete sometime around 2015). For this day, I just decided to go with my 13 year old son on a jog around the neighborhood to the stadium nearby. So I drank this down along with another 18 ounces of water (more on that later) and took off with him.
You know, sometimes it gives a sense of accomplishment leaving your fit young teen in the dust. And I felt that accomplishment dwindle as I lost him and had to go on a search to find him ( note to self, next time I fly past my kid, draw him a map home first…). Fortunately, after drinking all that water and the Adrenalyn Stack, the trail of sweat dripping off me might have led him on the correct path. Overall, the buzz was pretty effective in giving me that boost to finish my run and not be dead tired in the end – even if I never felt the urge to bench press Hyundai.

As for actual adrenalyn, this drink neither gives you any, or really makes you feel like you have it coursing though your body. Although, the ingredients list is enough to make my heart beat a little faster… This drink is packed full of things I have never heard of. Citrus aurantium? 2% synephrine? While I can understand ingredients like 200mg caffeine, copper, phosphorus and potassium, they also put Choline and a bunch of ingredients that I am assuming (they call it all part of a proprietary bitter orange extract product, Advantra Z) is the thermogenic stuff. They have an amino acid blend to help alertness and concentration, and yohimbe because they want to mess with me (I don’t do well with yohimbe – it gives me the shudders).
I like that their caffeine and energy comes from more than just lab made caffeine, as they also use guarana and green tea, so they get absorbed into the bloodstream at different rates. This is another one of those ABB products that I would NOT take while trying to get a little boost in the afternoon – or vegging around the house. This one will make you want to paint your walls or rip up that old carpet you have in the living room.

Taste:7
ABB makes most their fruit punch flavors chalky and overly sweet – and this is no exception. If you are taking this before a workout, just be sure you are near a fountain or someplace to help you dilute the flavor. While it is not a bad taste, it is certainly too strong a flavor if you are in the middle of exercise. I have found that it works to drink half immediately, then fill the bottle back up with water and chill. that way the drink is nice and light – and won’t leave your mouth all chalky, and you will be petty hydrated for your workout as well.

Packaging:8
Like their other products, this hand fitted screw on capped bottle is really nice – perfect for using again and again. It lists all the ingredients including a total caffeine value – which I really like. Their side panel helps you make sure this is really the drink for you and your workout. This is a great way to help fit the consumer to the product if you have quite a lot of similar products. all in all, a solid design that fits well into their design scheme.
